Potluck Success

Thanks to all Parent Council members and DA families that took part in our 1st Annual International Potluck Dinner! There was plenty of food for all, trivia for the kids and good conversation! We’re looking forward to planning more community gatherings in the future, so please come out to a future council meeting if you’re interested in getting involved.

School Announcements

This message is for Grade 8 students regarding optional attendance: Students must see Ms. Arruda for optional attendance forms for both specialized programs such as MAST, Rosedale, etc. and regular programs. Be sure to discuss before handing forms into schools so she can ensure they are filled out properly and photocopied.

Some upcoming specialized programs (see Guidance website for more details)

• TOPS at Bloor (Dec. 2 deadline)
• MAST program (Dec. 16 deadline)
• Rosedale (Feb. 3 deadline)

The East York school visit will take place on Dec. 1, 2016. Arrive at school at 8:30 am and dress appropriately for the weather. All Grade 8 students are expected to attend.

There will be no Guys Club this week as Friday is a PA Day. Next meet-up is December 9 for nachos and video games.

Friday, December 2, 2016 is a PA Day.

The DA Winter Concert is December 21, 2016.

The Ward Council meeting will be December 14 at 6:30pm at DA Morrison.

Today’s pizza lunch was a success with over 90 students taking part. We are working on a new and improved pizza lunch for December 22, 2016 so stay tuned!

Girls Group will be hosting another popcorn sale on Wednesday, Nov. 30 so bring your spare change.

There will be a Student Parliament on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 11am in Room 308.

Are you interested in joining the Year Book Committee? There will be a meeting in Room 216 on Monday, November 28, 2016 at lunch with Mr. Brandreth and Mrs. Molto.

So far, we are anticipating almost 20 families to the 1st Annual DA Morrison International Potluck! See everyone next Tuesday, November 29 around 6 pm.
