Reminder that our annual school potluck is tomorrow night – Wednesday November 6 from 6-8pm in the school cafeteria. Along with good food and games to play, it is a great way to meet other D. A. Morrison families.
In an effort to reduce waste, we’d ask all families to to bring their own plates and cutlery if possible. We will have some extras on hand if needed.
All D. A. Morrsion families are welcomed to join us for our annual potluck supper on Wednesday November 6 from 6-8pm in the school cafeteria. Bring a dish for all to share and enjoy a great meal with the D. A. community.

D. A. Morrison School Council will be hosting a bake sale at the Choices Information Night that will be taking place on October 23 at 6:30pm. This information night will help to explain the choices available to students as they move to high school. It is a valuable session for all grade 7 and 8 families and is highly recommended.
All proceeds from the bake sale will go towards funding our amazing music programs. If you would like to donate any baking (homemade or otherwise!) please bring them to the school on October 23 and drop it off at the office. Please remember to label all reusable containers so we can get them back to you.
Please join us for the first School Council Meeting of the year on Tuesday Sept 24 at 6:30pm in the library (3rd floor). For both returning families and those who are new to the school, Council presents a great opportunity to stay informed of what’s going on in the school and to get involved.
At this kickoff meeting, members from last year’s Council will review the role and general activites of the Council, and candidates running for the coming year’s School Council positions will be on hand to present thier qualifications. As part of the newly adopted bylaws, an election will be held if required.
As always, all are welcome to join…and we promise that you don’t even need to sign up for a position. (Unless you want to of course).
A big thank you to all of the volunteers and those who contributed to our recent Bottle Drive and Bake Sale at the musical last week…both events were a big success and helped to raise money to support school initiatives and class field trips.
Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, bottles or baking!
Today we are hosting a bottle drive in the D. A. Morrison parking lot from 10am – 1pm. Please come by to drop off any bottles or cans. All proceeds will go towards supporting school activities and field trips.
